The Alaska Committee Works with Local Businesses and Organizations to Welcome the Alaska State Legislature to Juneau

While the pandemic continues, so does The Alaska Committee, local businesses and organizations who once again worked together to create welcome gift baskets for Alaska state legislators.

“Every year we want to communicate that the community of Juneau appreciates and welcomes the legislature,” said Wayne Jensen, Chair of the Alaska Committee. He added, “We hope that next year we will be able to host a proper legislative welcome reception.” The reception was canceled this year due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the community.

In 1995 the Alaska Committee was officially incorporated as a non-profit corporation charged with enhancing Juneau as Alaska’s capital city. To this day, the Alaska committee remains dedicated to making state government work better for all Alaskans by improving and enhancing Juneau as Alaska’s capital city.

The Alaska Committee extends a special thanks to all the businesses and organizations for their contributions and support during another hard year.
